January Blues
Today was a very strange weather day. It poured rain harder than I have ever seen it rain and for a very long time. The yard was totally flooded. There were high winds and over 181,000 Charlotteans were without power. Fortunately, we did not lose power or the internet. Leigh and I ventured outside to survey the damage. We were able to clean several storm drains, which seemed to help with the rising water levels in the backyard. For a while, I was concerned that the water would reach the basement via the garage. Fortunately, that did not happen.
